Art is dear to Chayim Shvarzblat, both as a viewer and as a creator.

Chayim Shvarzblat is an artist who sees, contemplates, and feels more clearly and deeply... and possesses the courage and will to show it. As far as Shvarzblat is concerned, painting is the best thing he can do for others and for himself. Upon starting to paint, he realized that was among his first realizations. As a 16-year-old, he has used this knowledge as his primary motivation and stimulus ever since.

As an artist, you have the privilege of developing and progressing as a person. It is mostly curiosity that drives Chayim Shvarzblat to paint: how far he can go through the language of art, and how best he can communicate that. There is a sense of accomplishment and pleasure in experiencing the surprises that are part of this journey.

Technique Used by Chayim Shvarzblat

In his paintings, Chayim Shvarzblat uses the watercolor technique because it fits his sensibility and because drawing is the foundation of all visual arts.

While painting, he tries to keep a balance between intuition and rationality, as this is the most appropriate approach for him. Through the painting's "imperfection", he does not impart any "story", theory, or conclusion to the viewer, but rather allows the painting to provoke their own point of view.

Themes and Motifs in Schvarzblat’s Art

The motifs and themes of Shvarzblat's paintings are chosen spontaneously. People are often incorporated into his paintings because they are a universal and inexhaustible source of inspiration, city scenes are challenging to routinely present everyday life in a light and deeper sense, and landscapes serve as a great way to reconnect with nature.

His paintings are not so much intrigued by the subject matter and content as they are by the way they are interpreted. Shvarzblat believes that presenting the seemingly trivial (seemingly) in the light of reality and giving it meaning is the greatest challenge for the artist.

In his opinion and expression, Chayim Shvarzblat defends freedom of expression within the limits of discretion without allowing it to become arbitrarily arbitrary.
