Desiree Nathan

Desiree brings over 20 years of experience in the field of environmental, health and safety (EHS) management including 5 years in the certification of management systems. This has included leading the development of impact assessments and management plans to meet both local and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) advisory - environmental and social due diligence (ESDD), monitoring of action plans and development of management systems as well as environmental site assessments, EHS audits, training and regulatory advisory. This has included secondment roles embedded in client’s operations and EHS teams – for upstream oil and gas and for semiconductor manufacturing.

In her previous employment with the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, Desiree led teams across Brunei and Malaysia delivering EHS and sustainability services and had accountability for team development and performance, technical delivery, client account management and business development. In her previous employment with an international engineering consultancy, she had similar responsibilities and accountabilities and was responsible for developing the company’s in-country impact assessment practice and led the growth of the service and team.

Desiree has demonstrated experience in managing projects involving multi-disciplinary and multi country team members and has led and supported projects across a wide range of sectors in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand and India.
