Madeline River Giner

Hello! I am a UTSA Honors College senior who is part of the Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program. My major is Microbiology and Immunology with a minor in Environmental Science. I plan to achieve a Ph.D. within microbiology and focus on research involving diseases. I have done three summer research experiences along with about 3 years of research during the academic years in the laboratory of Dr. Soo Chan Lee. So far, I have fallen in love with medical mycology and parasitology (involving helminths and trematodes), and I would like my potential Ph.D. project to involve either of those fields in the future.
