Rod Rowbotham is an award-winning architect and recognized business leader with more than 30 years of experience. His vision to provide a unified professional service results in the formation of onespace unlimited, where he leads a passionate team to craft architecture and interior design with excellence and best business practices of both industries.

 

Rod has gained an admirable reputation in the architecture field with his many accomplishments in residential, hotel, commercial and mixed-use projects, varying in size and location. His designs have been finalists in both the BILD Awards (Building Industry & Land Development Association) and the Ontario Home Builder Awards winning 4 for Best Suite Designs. His design for California Tower Condominiums was nominated for Ontario Home Builder Project of the Year Award in 2008. Following that, he won the Award of Merit for the Imperial Plaza building from the Heritage Toronto Awards in 2016. He has also been featured in Publications dedicated to his designs and notable projects, including the Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, Toronto Sun, and Condo Life Magazine. He has also been interviewed by Global TV. Most recently, Rod was interviewed for the OHBA Magazine with an article on ‘Getting the most out of compact living spaces’.

 

Rod studied Architecture at Ryerson University where he completed his Undergraduate degree. Furthering his education, he attended University of Michigan to obtain a Masters of Architecture Degree. While attending University of Michigan, Rod spent two terms with Gunnar Birkerts and the prestigious Honours Design Studio. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Toronto Society of Architects and various other provincial associations as projects require.
